The Caron Family Farm was purchased in the 1960's by Oscar and Valerie Caron as a recreational property to be enjoyed by their family. It eventually became their home and they hosted their first official campout in the early 1970's by the Forest Lawn Lions Club on father's day weekend. The Father's Day Weekend tradition is still continued today as an annual event of Oscar's Campout.
The "farm" was operated as a group camping area from then on by Oscar and Valerie and is now owned and operated in their memory by their grandchildren Darcy and Dawn.
It is a treasured space by all who grew up here and visit.
In Loving Memory of Dale
This spring we lost our patriarch Dale Richard Caron. Dale spent the end of his youth and loved this property his whole life. He purchased the property from Oscar's estate to be passed on to his two children and eventually his grandchildren. Dale will be dearly missed by all.
